THE POP-CULTURE COMPANY FUNKO AND THE MULTINATIONAL MEDIA COMPANY PARAMOUNT INTEND TO LAUNCH A NFT COLLECTION BASED ON AVATAR LEGENDS UNIVERSE!
On July 29, the pop-culture merchandise company Funko announced a partnership with the multinational media and entertainment company Paramount International. The two companies intend to launch a series of NFTs based primarily on the Avatar Legends universe.
Funko’s most recent Avatar Legends Digital Pop release will be available on August 9, 2022, via the NFT platform Droppp.
Aang from Fire Nation, Kuruk, Painted Woman, and other well-known figures will be included in the forthcoming Funko and Paramount Digital Pop NFTs. “Avatar Legends x Funko Collection 1 Digital Pop! coming soon to Droppp,” tweeted Funko on Friday. The standard pack of NFTs for the Avatar Legends will cost $9.99 and feature the different bobblehead and pop artwork styles of Funko.
The Avatar Legends Digital Pop collection is expected to contain 625,000 NFTs, and premium packs will cost $29.99 each.
The Avatar Legends announcement from Funko states, “When you open a pack of Digital Pop!, you’ll be able to reveal one of many uncommon Funko Digital Pop!, which can then be redeemed for a free, limited edition, bodily vinyl collectible.”
The most recent Jay and Silent Bob Digital Pop NFTs from Funko are compatible with the Avatar Legends NFTs.
The pop company also released Digital Pop NFTs for Warner Bros., Hanna-Barbera, My Little Pony, Kellogg’s, Transformers, Bob Ross, Star Trek, DC Comics, and Iron Maiden, in addition to the Jay and Silent Bob and Avatar Legends NFTs.
NFT sales have been dismal lately, falling 25.26 percent from the prior week in the last seven days of NFT sales.
Google Trends data also indicates that interest in NFTs has peaked, with the number of searches for the term globally dropping from an all-time high of 100 at the end of January to the current rating of 16.
Digital Pop Funko NFTs are issued on the Wax blockchain, which saw $379K in sales over the previous seven days, according to cryptoslam.io’s weekly statistics.
In June, the average Wax blockchain sale was $6.46 per NFT, while in July, the average was $4.63.
According to Cryptoslam.io metrics, Wax is the ninth largest blockchain in NFT gross sales among 17 networks.
