THE MOST POPULAR NFT GAME SEE ITS SALES VOLUME RISING AS THE ORIGIN UPDATE HITS!
Axie Infinity is the most excellent NFT project of all time regarding trading volume. However, it has recently faced difficulties due to a failing play-to-earn economy and a $622 million hack to its Ronin community bridge. However, there are some glimmers of hope that the best Ethereum NFT game may be making a comeback.
According to CryptoSlam data, sales of Axie Infinity NFT increased by approximately 198 percent in the previous week compared to the previous seven-day period. NFTs cost $1.38 million, a small fraction of what Axie was selling last summer when weekly sales routinely exceeded $100 million, but it is still a significant week-over-week increase.
Jihoz, the co-founder of Axie Infinity developer Sky Mavis, tweeted last Thursday that 22,000 Axies had been purchased in the previous 24 hours—an increase from 7,000 purchased in 24 hours a few weeks prior.
He also stated that downloads of the new Origin version of Axie Infinity, which includes a brand new battle system, visual upgrades, and other improvements, were increasing. And that 90% of Axie land owners had staked their NFTs to earn AXS token rewards. The land staking function began on June 30 and has reached 91 percent as of this writing.
According to CoinMarketCap, AXS is currently worth around $14. Meanwhile, the SLP token is worth almost $0.004—a 99 percent drop from its July 2021 peak of nearly $0.40 and a 20 percent drop in the previous 30 days.
