SNOOP DOGG FILES FOR NEW NFT AND METAVERSE TRADEMARK APPLICATIONS!
Snoop Dogg, an American rapper, is continuing to advance into the non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and metaverse worlds by filing new trademark applications for various items.
On June 14, Snoop Dogg, filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for the trademarks UNCLE SNOOP and UNCLE SNOOP’S.
In a tweet on June 20, licensed trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis announced the application. It will cover clothes, headwear, footwear, virtual cannabis and smoking goods, marketplaces for NFTs, and digital collectibles.
The rapper is one of the many celebrities who have embraced NFTs and the metaverse since their inception, collaborating with various developers.
For example, the rapper owns Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs and has worked on projects such as Ethereum’s The Sandbox and Cardano’s Clay Nation.
Notably, NFTs provide musicians with a revenue stream distinct from regular streaming royalties. Artists can use blockchain technology to set prices and collect royalties while maintaining contact with their devoted fans.
