A recent data set revealed the total NFT sales of the sector’s leading companies. Nike has surpassed the significant organizations at the top of the rankings. In addition, fashion brands are becoming increasingly popular in the Metaverse.

Nike on Top of The NFT Charts

The NFT and metaverse sectors are constantly attracting big names. 

Whether it’s a sports brand, a fashion brand, or any other brand, these industries have a tremendous opportunity to entice them into this magnificent realm. People are embracing top brands in virtual worlds, as evidenced by the recent surge in Nike NFT sales.

A researcher recently revealed on Twitter that Nike had surpassed top brands in NFT sales volume. At the time, the organization’s total revenue was $185.21 million. Nike is a leading sports brand that the majority of sports teams around the world prefer as a sponsor, jersey partner, and other services. Manchester United, the most successful football club in history, is one of the teams that has partnered with the brand.

Nike’s main competitor, Adidas, comes nowhere close in terms of sales volume. It has a total NFT revenue of $10.95 million, ranking fifth behind Dolce and Gabbana ($25.65 million), Tiffany ($12.62 million), and Gucci ($11.56 million). This data indicates that top brands have the potential to spread their magic in both the physical and virtual worlds.

The Metaverse’s Fashion Brands

Fashion brands are well aware that people enjoy displaying different skins in games. The Metaverse is an ideal place to capitalize on this fact. 

Many brands, including Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger, Dior, and Balenciaga, have already entered the Metaverse.

In celebration of the company’s 200th anniversary, Louis Vuitton launched a game called Louis The Game. Players take control of Vivienne, the organization’s founder. The competition included NFTs that users could collect throughout the journey.

Balenciaga, a leading boutique brand, has entered the virtual world through a partnership with Fortnite. It offered four digital collectibles from its extensive collection. In the Metaverse, users can use the digital avatars dubbed Doggo, dressed in a Balenciaga outfit. In addition, the fragrance company Dior collaborated with Ready Player Me to enter the Metaverse.

Balenciaga first appearance in the virtual world was through Fortnite.

Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger have also made their mark in the Metaverse. Burberry collaborated with Mythical Games to launch an NFT collection. At the same time, Tommy Hilfiger used Animal Crossing: New Horizons to enter the digital world before partnering with Roblox, another metaverse gaming platform.
