THE SANDBOX HAS PARTNERED UP WITH PLAYBOY TO LAUNCH A METAMANSION FOR THE BUNNIES!
Do you have any bunnies? The American men’s lifestyle and entertainment brand, and Sandbox, a smartphone and Windows game, are teaming up to create a “MetaMansion” — a virtual recreation of the well-known bunny mansion.
Future NFT releases will accompany various gaming, social, and scheduled MetaMansion events. In 2021, Playboy was expected to earn $12 million in NFT sales alone, luring Web 3 developers and artists to capitalize on the growing virtual entertainment market. It had already gained notoriety online with the introduction of a virtual art exhibition and the “Rabbitars” NFTs in 2021.
“This collaboration brings to the metaverse a distinctive vision of beauty that made the brand renowned worldwide. Now, the Playboy brand can interact with a new metaverse-native generation in The Sandbox, sharing its history and art through a platform where everyone is united by global digital culture,” said Sébastien Borget, co-founder and chief operations officer of Sandbox.

The MetaMansion will only be accessible to the holders of the “Playboy Rabbitars NFT project,” or hodlers, as they are known in the NFT world.
Playboy appears to be in the Web 3 business for the long haul, especially considering that it introduced a product during the crypto downturn. However, since the Playboy “Rabbitars” was first released in October 2021 and were sold for $800 each, their value has considerably decreased. The average cost of a Playboy Rabbitars Official NFT over the previous week was $142.4. There are 5,204 Playboy Rabbitars Official owners, and there are 11,953 tokens available in total.
